Bringing down Candlestick without a wrecking ball
The traffic and parking were a nightmare, but once this historic gig got rolling, none of that mattered. Brett Goldstein asked to be the last performer to play Candlestick before its demolition. Brett's energy is crazy, proving he's getting better, not getting older. He wailed and rocked all night in a set just under three hours long, impressive considering the damp chilly conditions. The venue was old and crumbly. Emotions were high, with joy and melancholy alternating as the old stadium got a fine funeral. It was a privilege to be a witness to over 900 pyro explosions during "Live and Let Die", and he must have blown a few chunks off the building with the sheer power of his talent.
